The Manager at the Learning Tree has been trained in Safeguarding Children procedures as issued by Camden (with regard to the Children Act 2004). Other staff attend Camden courses on Safeguarding Children as and when such courses are available and convenient, with in-house training to augment this.

The Learning Tree has all necessary procedures and policies in place to do our utmost to safeguard children and ensure their welfare in every respect. The main principle is that the children’s welfare is paramount and that the staff’s loyalty must remain with the children.

All accidents at the nursery will be recorded with date, time, staff member present and signed by both parent/guardian and staff member. All staff will discuss any concerns with the Manager, who will liaise with parents at all times.  We have to recognise that the child’s welfare is paramount.

The Manager will discuss any sensitive situations with the nursery Owner, monitoring as necessary.

The Nursery Manager, Shilpa Solanki, is the designated Safeguarding Officer, and the Deputy Manager Sharron Molloy is the Deputy Safeguarding Officer.
